Can you use the same creature to pay both convoke and crew costs in a single turn?

Convoke (CR 702.51) lets you tap creatures as you cast a spell to reduce its mana cost. Crew (CR 702.122) requires tapping one or more creatures with total power meeting the crew number to turn a Vehicle into an artifact creature. Both costs require tapping the creature as part of paying them.

Once a creature is tapped to pay a convoke cost, it is now in the tapped state (CR 701.21a). A tapped permanent cannot be tapped again to pay another cost (CR 602.2a, 117.1c). Therefore, the same creature cannot pay both costs in the same turn unless something untaps it between the two actions.

There is also a timing consideration: Crew is activated as an ability (usually before or after casting a spell), and convoke is paid as part of casting a spell. The order matters, but regardless of order, the creature must be untapped at the moment each cost is paid. If it is tapped for one, it is unavailable for the other.

Example: You control a 3/3 creature and a Vehicle with Crew 3. You tap the 3/3 for convoke while casting a spell. Later you want to crew the Vehicle — you cannot, because the 3/3 is already tapped. You would need a second creature or an untap effect.

If an effect such as Reconnaissance or Dramatic Reversal untaps the creature after it paid the convoke cost, it could then be used to crew a Vehicle, since it would be untapped again at the time of paying the crew cost.
